“When we founded our new company, we started directly with three surgical towers”

The oral and maxillofacial surgery referral practice FINE MKG in Heiligenhaus (City in
North Rhine-Westphalia) was opened in August 2023. Two vacant office spaces formed the spatial basis. Spacious and light-flooded treatment rooms with an operating area have been created on a total of 700 square meters – and W&H products can be found in every room. And for good reasons.

“We want to offer our patients not only the best medical service, but also an environment that combines comfort and well-being. For the latter, we have relied on the expertise of a dental equipment supplier, and for the majority of the medical products, on the premium supplier W&H. Even before founding the practice, we had already come into contact with the Austrian manufacturer's products in the course of previous activities, particularly with straight and contra-angle handpieces. Practice focus on implant patients

“We are an implant centere and have opted for several surgical motors, piezo modules and surgical instruments. The Implantmed combination unit with Piezomed module is undoubtedly our favourite – we use it for regular implantology and dentoalveolar surgery. The wireless foot control is worth emphasising here. Operation of the device is self-explanatory. With the piezo module, you can also individually adjust the power level and water supply, which is another USP. As we are three practitioners, we started directly with three fully equipped surgical carts. So, in theory, each of us has our own tower. In practice, however, everyone basically works with every device – this is made possible by the option of different user profiles. Our treatment rooms are spread over an area of 700 square meters, which requires the equipment to be mobile. Thanks to W&H, we remain flexible. We are surgeons – the functionality of the equipment is our priority. But of course, you also have to objectively state that the design of the products is very pure and straightforward and therefore fits perfectly into our modern practice.”

Safety through objective measurement – for surgeons, referreing doctors and patients

“As an implant centre, we also use Osstell Beacon intensively and wouldn't want to be without the device any more. It gives us security and has proven to be very valuable in patient communication. Patients can follow the healing process, get a good feeling, and this transparency creates trust. The documentation via Osstell Beacon is also ideal for our referrers. They get control back and can be sure that the prosthetic treatment is carried out at the right time.”

Everyone loves Lisa

“The entire hygiene line in our practice is also configured with W&H products. We have the washer disinfector, the Assistina, the foil sealing unit and Lisa Remote Plus ioDent®. Our practice ladies are particularly impressed by the Steri, and they repeatedly report on the simple, intuitive operation. With Lisa, individual employee profiles can be created, which creates traceability. We have also had contact with the remote service and are satisfied. In terms of load volumes, the washer disinfector and sterilizer run between 5 and 7 cycles a day. We have optimised our surgical cassettes so that we can cope very well for our practice size.”

Sustainable relationships in fast-moving times

“To summarise, we are happy to say that the last year with W&H has been great – the products did not let us down. Even when we needed service, they respond quickly: our foil sealing device had a defect. The repair was initiated immediately, and a replacement device was provided. We have also bought from other manufacturers at the branch and can say that this sustainable interest in the customer, as practised by W&H, is really something special. The primary focus is not on selling products, but on the customer relationship. We are grateful for such a valuable contact and look forward to further cooperation. If we could wish for anything from the product developers, it would be even more wireless operating options for Implantmed and Piezomed module, in order to further reduce the number of hand movements on the display.”
