That was IDS 2025

Bright future for the dental industry

After five exciting days at the trade fair, IDS 2025 has come to an end. What remains are the manufacturer’s innovative products finding now their way into dental practices and clinics.
W&H, in particular, presented more than 10 new products – above all Seethrough, the medical technology manufacturer’s new imaging portfolio.

A modern look, a dynamic and inviting atmosphere, and more than 10 exciting new products made the W&H exhibition booths at IDS 2025 the place to be. The highlight: W&H’s new X-ray portfolio, which pulled in the crowds. With five solutions for intraoral and extraoral diagnostics, combined with an outstanding software, the medical technology company is setting new standards in imaging.

Premiere for Seethrough

“Our Seethrough portfolio is the result of tireless dedication, expert knowledge, and true passion.
This product launch marks a significant milestone that we have been working toward for a long time. The positive feedback and the beaming faces of our customers are the greatest reward for our intensive development work,” says Thomas Lang, Chief Technology Officer of the W&H Group, reflecting on the successful presentation. The Seethrough portfolio includes two CBCT devices – Seethrough Max and Seethrough Flex – as well as an X-ray source and two reading solutions:
a PSP scanner and a digital sensor. “Our solutions represent clinical excellence and patient safety.
They provide high-quality images with a reduced radiation dose for patients, thus ensuring precise diagnostics without compromise,” emphasises Valeria Ferrari, W&H Product Director.

Innovation at every turn

Around 100 W&H employees engaged in professional discussions at IDS 2025, providing in-depth insights into the latest product solutions through live demonstrations. Seethrough, Thed and Thed+, Lara XXL, Lisa Mini, U-Son, and the Synea Power Edition are among the new W&H products presented at IDS 2025. Thed, the new thermal washer disinfector, impresses with flexible loading options and faster reprocessing times. With features such as two washing levels, active air drying with a HEPA filter, and other advantages, Thed stands out from other products in its class. Lara XXL and Lisa Mini were also true highlights – two sterilizers that couldn’t be more different: one particularly large, the other especially compact, making them perfectly suited to the needs of every practice.
U-Son, W&H’s new ultrasonic device, ensures absolute reliability and safe reprocessing. In the field of transmission instruments, W&H presented the Synea Power Edition, a particularly robust contra-angle handpiece – specially developed for demanding applications, such as the removal of zirconium restorations.
