Piezomed, a new revolution in oral surgery
At the head offices of Dental Styling in Florence on 17 October, W&H and Dental Styling presented the latest innovation in bone surgery, using W&H's piezoelectric technology. The demonstration was presented by Dr Alessandro Ceccherini, a respected oral surgeon from Florence, Professor at the Department Oral Surgery of the University of Chieti-Pescara and Past President of the ModelGuide Academy.
Dr Ceccherini demonstrated how Piezomed simplifies surgical procedures thanks to its innovative and highly precise ultrasound technology, which enables only the bone itself to be worked on, leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged. This is of course also a considerable relief for the patient, as it means less pain and a speedier recovery!
The insert automatic recognition system, which detects and recognizes the insert attached to the unit, automatically configures the device to eliminate the risk of overloading. Moreover, the innovative LED ring is shadow-free and guarantees that the operating area is optimally illuminated. When it comes to the device's strength and speed, use of the Boost function makes it possible to increase the set basic power by 20% for a short period of time. The device's coolant spray exits close to the surgical area and cools the area and the instrument extremely efficiently and the new and exciting toothed profile results in a more precise cut and saves time!
All doctors at the presentation were given the opportunity to handle and test a brand new Piezomed device for themselves.
