Aim of Treatment
Following extractions, the alveolar bone should be preserved to the greatest extent possible for both implantological and prosthetic reasons. In the examples described below, the desmodontal space of molars not worth preserving was expanded using piezoelectric surgery. This was done by inserting the EX1 and EX2 instruments in an apical direction between the root surface and the alveolar bone. The teeth can then be extracted without any problem.
